Mourning Sky

Death swoops from the mourning sky

Around the world the echoed cry

Innocence condemned to die

No-one grasps a reason why

 

What reason could there ever be

For such a great calamity?

The scale of this atrocity

Defies all of humanity

 

Could any cause excuse the shame?

Will anyone admit the blame?

A thousand score devoured in flame

In only evil terror’s name

 

How can you fight a foe insane?

How can we end this Demon’s reign?

Can there be justice once again?

Or only vengeance unrestrained

 

My last word before we part:

We must fight evil in our hearts

Before we let this be the start

Of what could tear the world apart
