Once They Said

Once they said they’d never use

Polaris, Trident and the Cruise

But when it came, that fateful day

They just blew our world away

 

Once this land was rich and green

Before we heard a billion screams

But then the fire rained from the sky

And everything began to die

 

Once we thought our leaders wise

But then we had a big surprise

Cause when they were put to the test

They just left us in a mess

 

Once we had a life so fine

But greed had made us very blind

Our blindness let out something mad

And it destroyed all that we had
