Remember me, when I am gone,

As one who once so brightly shone,

Who had his days out in the sun,

Shared some laughter, had some fun.

 

Forget this thing that you see now,

It doesn’t matter anyhow,

It’s just the place I used to stay,

But now I’ve had to go away.

 

All that’s left of me’s in you,

Your memories of the man you knew,

The only thing I have to give,

The memories of the life I lived.
