Millennium Bug

Underneath a mountain,

In the heart of Khazakhstan

There lay an old machine

For which they didn’t plan

And as the counters fell to zero

It became a nuclear ‘hero’

And while we partied on

Our world was sudden… GONE!

 

And now we’re back in caves

To eke out sorry days

The world was once our place

‘Til we destroyed its face

We thought we were so clever

Did we expect this? Never!

So ends the age of man

Because we didn’t plan
